Because there’s finally a Sherlock Holmes whose defining characteristic isn’t being the center of the universe. Because there’s finally a show where the people around Sherlock Holmes aren’t just props for him to look smart. Because there’s finally a show where the cast around Sherlock Holmes is just as if not more interesting than Sherlock Holmes himself.
I watched this show for Lucy Liu’s Joan Watson, but I stayed because the writers and the actors and everyone involved in this are clearly invested in something more than forty minutes of “Oh my, how quirky and smart is that bloke, Sherlock Holmes”.
Honestly, watch this show. I sincerely doubt you’ll regret it.
